Water: Above & Below
When ABOVE, look for birds, amphibians, muskrats, or boats. When BELOW, look for fish, crabs, oysters, nets, or perhaps mermaids or mermen. Let your imagination or sense of keen observation sore or dive into 2- or 3-dimensional art.
Visiting Artist: Robin Caspari
Robin Caspari is an oil painter living, working and teaching in Central Virginia. Recently, she has won awards such as Second Place overall in the 2022 Plein Air Salon Annual Competition, and multiple First Place awards for Plein Air Salon's monthly divisions. She has also been included in National Shows hosted by the National Impressionist Society and National Oil and Acrylic Painters to name a few.
Robin's own words best describe her work:
"Something strong in the center of myself drives me to paint no matter what the circumstance in my life. I am true to this inner voice. A painting speaks a language absent of words, that people can understand in an instant. As a painter, I strive to give the gift of expression and beauty. I love to enrich people's lives with my work. Overall, the process of making a great painting is very symbolic of life itself, packed full of thought and emotion, yet stunningly simple."
