The RAL Art Center has much to celebrate in its 75th anniversary year—and a terrific story to tell. RAL’s upcoming book, “The Art of Success: 75 Years of RAL,” will be released in late November.
The retrospective takes the form of a sketchbook. Highly visual, the book uses press clippings, photos and other ephemera plus illustrations by RAL co-op artists to highlight the people and partnerships behind the League. Interviews with RAL members lend texture and emotion to the narrative. Recollections from artists’ family members bring early RAL supporters to life.

No timelines or musty history, “The Art of Success” is a fun and informative look at a remarkable organization of artists and art lovers. At 80+ pages, the sketchbook measures 11 ½ x 8 ¾” and is wiro-bound. Its handsome black cover features a surprise for the reader.

A launch party will be held at the Art Center on Saturday November 30 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Presale orders can be picked up at that time or at RAL 19 N. Main Street, Kilmarnock Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm.
All proceeds from the sale of this book will support RAL’s programs.
