Workshop: Mixology of Fruit

Who isn’t impressed with a beautiful still-life painting of fruit? May it be symbolism, the shapes or the colors. In June, there is an abundance of fresh fruit in the garden and farm markets. In this one-day class we will look at fruit in the flesh, under various lighting conditions and arrangements. Painting fruit is about reflected light, highlights, shadows; capturing the planes of the shapes and values accurately and accurately mixing the colors you see. We will complete several small studies of various fruits and vegetables focusing on identifying and mixing the colors you need to make the little paintings work.
