3-Day Class: Mondays, Sept. 13, 20, 27, 2021 1:30pm – 4:30pm
In this three-day class, you will create three acrylic 11” x 14” landscape paintings in the Impressionist style. Learn how to apply paint in this ever-popular style, creating the effect of sunlight with short quick brush strokes, a broken palette for optical color mixing, and complementary colors in shadows. The first painting will be completed in unison the teacher’s demonstration and step-by-step instruction. The next two paintings will be completed from reference photos that you have selected. Brings snacks and/or a bag lunch. Some experience helpful but not entirely necessary. Materials provided by instructor.
Juli Schuszler, a member of the RAL Art Center, is a local painter and pastel artist. In 2020, she retired after a 22-year career from teaching Art and English in public schools, colleges, and universities to focus her art. www.julischuszler.com
