Clay Face Mugs for Youth - Ages 11 to 15
Instructor: Patricia Shook
2-Day Class: Sundays June 6 & 13, 2021, 1pm - 3pm
Children ages 11 to 15 will have an exciting 2-day program where they learn the fundamentals of using ceramic clay and tube forms to create a mug. Students will also learn the sculpting process of adding coils and shapes to their mug to make unique and one-on-a-kind faces, either human or animal. During the second week students will put the finishing touches on their mugs, will add the handle and then paint with a large selection of colorful underglazes.
Each mug will then be fired with a clear glaze creating a permanent and usable object.
Students should dress appropriately for this program. All materials will be provided.
Class Fee: $70 Maximum: 10 Students
Class will be held in the newly renovated Pike Studio...a great place to learn, grow and connect.
