Try-It-Tuesday: Silverpoint

Come and try an old master technique, Silverpoint. Silverpoint is an old-world master drawing technique where instead of graphite, silver point is used to draw on prepared ground. The instructor will prepare the paper for class. Silver produces a hard, delicate clearly defined line that will tarnish over time producing a rich patina. 15th century Flemish artists preferred it, and Albrecht Durer was a master at it. Much later Picasso and Albright would use it.

Instructor will provide supplies; Class price reflects $5 increase for supplies.
