Try It Tuesday: “At Rest” – Using Soft Pastels

Join Doug Mock and create this calming scene using soft pastels. Pastels are fun and messy so please wear an old shirt or bring a smock/apron.

Doug will demonstrate how to use this art medium and how to choose, layer and blend colors to create a dynamic and beautiful painting.

You will learn about surfaces, tools and brands of pastels to consider if you’d like to “dabble” in pastel at home. Will you create a stormy sky/sea, a bold and beautiful sunrise/sunset or a calm and serene scene? The choice is yours! You’ll feel like you’ve gone back to school in this class!

Bring your friends, your neighbors and your family along with your choice of snacks and adult beverages. This promises to be a very fun and entertaining evening!
