Class Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Cost: $105.00 for members; $121.00 for non-members
Join Doug Mock for this 2-day workshop where you will learn the importance of creating art that takes advantage of strong design and composition. You will learn about the elements and principles of design, how to assess your photos (or plein air sites) to ensure strong works of art and how to best plan your art for success.
Doug will have hands-on exercises to reinforce your learning. Please bring at least six - 8.5 x 11 photo references that you think would make great paintings.
Doug regularly judges mixed-media art exhibits and consistently evaluates and critiques art based upon the artists understanding of and utilization of strong composition. This class is open to artists in all media so come and join the fun! Maximum number of participants is 12. We will have a one-hour lunch break each day.
