Adult Workshop:  Color Drawing

Day/Date:  6 Wednesdays – 2/1/2023 – 3/8/2023 (3/15 makeup snow day)

Time: 1:30 – 4:00 pm

Cost:  $240 for members; $276 for non-members

This is a class for all those who have had some previous drawing experience but are now ready to pursue additional skills while also using colored drawing mediums. This is the perfect continuation to the "Drawing-Learning to See" classes; however, all drawing students are welcome.

The instructor will demonstrate one drawing medium per week in these mediums: watercolor pencils, colored pencils, conte' crayons, pastels and oil pastels. Students should provide their own drawing references. However, if requested, references can be provided by the instructor.

If you choose COLORED PENCILS:

Prismacolor Colored Pencils are suggested.  These come in kits and in sets as seen below:

Prismacolor Premier Mix Media Art Kit; Item #82503-1009 *You will need watercolor paper with this kit (it also includes watercolor pencils; see below) as well as colored pencil paper if purchasing this set

Drawing Pad for colored pencils:

Strathmore 400 Series; in size 9 x 12 OR 12 x 16

If you choose WATERCOLOR PENCILS:

Watercolor Paper: Arches - Cold Press Pad -

You must choose which size paper you prefer, 9 x 12; 10 x 14 or 11.7 x 16.5

If you like to work large, choose the larger size.
