Dates: Saturday and Sunday, October 15 & 16
Time: 10 am to 4 pm
Fees: $240 for members; $276 for non-members
Skill level: Intermediate
In this exciting 2-day plein air workshop you will explore light and shadow in the landscape. Artists will go in-depth using oils as they learn how to simplify a difficult scene. You will work from a limited pallet to achieve unlimited colors while painting alla prima (start to finish in one session). Each day begins with 30-minute studies. Thomas will help you to not overwork a painting and will introduce you to new and invigorating techniques using both the brush and palette knife. Artists will also explore how to use color temperature effectively. Weather can be unpredictable and can change quickly. Please dress accordingly.
