Dates: Saturday and Sunday, October 15 & 16
Time: Â 10 am to 4 pm
Fees: Â $240 for members; $276 for non-members
Skill level: Intermediate
In this exciting 2-day plein air workshop you will explore light and shadow in the landscape. Â Artists will go in-depth using oils as they learn how to simplify a difficult scene. Â You will work from a limited pallet to achieve unlimited colors while painting alla prima (start to finish in one session). Â Each day begins with 30-minute studies. Â Thomas will help you to not overwork a painting and will introduce you to new and invigorating techniques using both the brush and palette knife. Â Artists will also explore how to use color temperature effectively. Â Weather can be unpredictable and can change quickly. Â Please dress accordingly.
