The spinning of fibers to create thread and yarn has been going on since pre-history. Fiber spinning was once a matter of survival to provide humans with clothing, ropes, and shelter. Now spinning has become an art craft and the resulting product can be used in other art crafts like knitting, weaving, crochet, and more. Â You may be surprised how simple the process actually is. Come learn how to get started in this craft that is both meditative and functional.
The instructor will provide drop spindles and carded sheep’s wool for attendees.  These will also be available for sale following the class, if desired.
Limit of 12 students. Ages 8 through adult (under 16 should be accompanied by a parent).
